Mr. James Wren: WWII Veteran

     Today at an auction we met Mr. James Wren. Mr. Wren served in the Navy in World War Two. He will be 100 years old this December 13th. He grew up in Wrens, Georgia, a town that was founded by his great grandfather. He now lives in Orlinda, Tennessee with his son Robin and his daughter-in-law. Mr. Wren was married to his wife Shirley for 74 years, and she passed away at the age of 93 in September of 2022. 

     Mr. Wren was in six battles during the war, and he was witness to the first flag put up on Iwo Jima. Mr. Wren has been to Washington and several other places to make speeches and has been awarded eight different metals.

      Mr. Wren attends Orlinda Baptist Church in Orlinda, Tennessee, and says that he is a born again Christian. Please pray for him and his family. Mr. Wren, we appreciate your service to our country. Thank you for your sacrifice.
