In Any Direction You Choose

               Have you ever been excitedly fulfilling a big plan, a dream, God's will, and then all of a sudden, BOOM! Someone comes along and ridicules you, embarrasses, humiliates you in front of everyone by laughing at you and tearing down your project and makes you feel ridiculous? O.K., maybe they gave you a funny look and snickered. But it feels so much worse than that.        That's where the above quote comes in. I have brains, and I have the ability to use them. You have brains, and you have the ability to use them. And you should.         Now, you might be wondering, where is this all leading up to? Learn, Keep, Do

 Our Devotional for this month comes from Mrs. Barbara LeBlanc from Maranatha Baptist Church in Lyons, New York.   Learn, Keep, Do  Deuteronomy 5:1  Moses gave a threefold command to all God’s people. He told them to hear what he had to say because the Lord had spoken to him so he could share it with them. First, he said to “learn” the statutes and judgments. Today we would say it as the Word of God, or the Bible. In order to learn it we must receive it by listening to Godly leaders, such as a pastor, youth leader, or Sunday School teacher. Deuteronomy 17:19 and 31:12 repeat the command to hear from Godly leaders. We gather together at places such as church, Christian school or camp, or at home with your parents. Then you will learn to fear the Lord and honor your parents by obeying them. Of course, you should also read God’s Word and learn for yourself what He commands by studying and memorizing Scripture.
