Things that don't Matter
"Yeaaaaahhhh! Woooooo! Oh yea!" the cry of victory came from a high school boy who was beating his chest and stomping his feet on the ground. He ran up and down the basketball court and continued his roar of victory. The cause of his show of triumph? A ball he had chucked from across the court had gone through the hoop with a satisfying "swish''. "Buckets!" he yelled as he beat his chest. His friends surrounded him and thumped his shoulders and congratulated him. Succeeding in things that don't matter. When the young man that acts like that stands before the Lord, the Lord is not going to say, "How many half-courts did you make?" he's going to say, "What did you do for me? How many people did you witness to? What things did you do that mattered eternally?"
