God's Gift of Talents

Mrs. Carol Provoost 

       Several years ago, my husband and I developed a hobby of refinishing furniture. That hobby turned into a small business where we are able to sell our pieces. God has given us a talent that we didn't realize we had until we pursued it! 

      There are many talents that God gives. Some are gifted with musical abilities. Some with creative abilities using their hands. Others are gifted in writing and being able to communicate well. 

       A 'talent' is something that you are born with that gives unique skills and abilities. I have read that talent is set apart from knowledge in that it is not a learned behavior, although it can be strengthened and practiced. The Bible tells us that we are all born with unique talents and gifts that set us apart from each-other. When you discover talents God has given you and you use them to glorify Him, you will experience a full life! Our Lord wants us to feel whole and complete and it is through these talents that we can find our unique calling in life!  

      Here are some Bible verses to encourage you as you seek God's plan for your life. 


Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 


James 1:17

Every good gift and ever perfect is from above, which cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

    I like this devotion, but I think in a addition to this devotion...I would really like to see & hear some examples of young people serving the Lord in their local church ;) love you ♡ 3 E's

The Return of Lester Holmes

It's here!! After many months of much hard work by many people, it's finally done! Thank you to everyone who acted, played, sang, filmed, edited, worked behind the scenes and so many more things!
