The Ultimate Love
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
God's love is so great- it is undescribable. It is a complete, pure, selfless love. It is the ultimate love that we, as Christians, can experience every day by cultivating a relationship with God. People often say, "I just want someone who will love me for who I am." Well God does. He loves everyone completely- no matter who they are or what they've done.
God loves us, and He wants us to love Him back.1 John 4:19 says, "We love Him because He first loved us." God wants our love and devotion in return for His love.
I could go on forever about God's love- but I think I will sum it up with the words of Frederick M. Lehman. This is how Mr. Lehman described the love of God:
it goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest hell. The wand'ring child is reconciledby God's beloved Son.The aching soul again made whole, and priceless pardon won.
O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure—the saints’ and angels’ song. When ancient time shall pass away, and human thrones and kingdoms fall;when those who here refuse to prayon rocks and hills and mountains call;God’s love so sure, shall still endure, all measureless and strong;grace will resound the whole earth round—the saints’ and angels’ song.Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made;were ev’ry stalk on earth a quill, and ev’ryone a scribe by trade;to write the love of God abovewould drain the ocean dry;nor could the scroll contain the whole, Though stretched from sky to sky
I love your theme this month. It's simple, clear, and powerful. ♥️
