All about Jesus

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6 


     Christmas is just 2 days away! We all know that Christmas is all about Jesus, and so is this verse! Isaiah gave Jesus 5 different titles in this verse. They all show us a different aspect of Jesus' character. The first title is "Wonderful". Everything about Jesus is wonderful. His love, His mercy, His kindness, and the list could go on forever. 

    The secondly is "Counselor". Counselor is defined as 'A person trained to give advice on...' whatever the person gives counsel for. But Jesus is the ultimate counselor- because He didn't have to be trained to give advice on one subject. He just knows everything about everything! He can (and will) give you the wisdom to make good decisions if you ask! (And Jesus doesn't make you pay Him to listen to you! 😉)  

    Third in the list comes "The mighty God". I love this one! Jesus is our mighty God who will move in mighty ways if we ask and trust Him! 

    "The everlasting Father" is fourth. Jesus is forever. His love is forever. He will love you forever. He will always be there to guide and direct us, forgive us and comfort us. He will never desert you like imperfect people will. He is always there for you no matter what. 

    Lastly comes "The Prince of Peace". Jesus came to heal this sinful, broken world. He came to forgive all sin, to fix what we have broken. He's bringing peace to our world and our hearts. 


This Christmas don't forget that this holiday is all about Jesus, and don't forget this beautiful verse that is all about Jesus.

The Return of Lester Holmes

It's here!! After many months of much hard work by many people, it's finally done! Thank you to everyone who acted, played, sang, filmed, edited, worked behind the scenes and so many more things! Thank you especially for those of you who had to redo scenes due to me forgetting to turn on the mic on the camera...thankfully it didn't turn out to be a silent film.  We all hope you enjoy the movie (sorry, short film, ha-ha)!
