Tempted to Sin

This month's devotional comes from Mrs. Anne Adams from Heritage Baptist Church in Palmyra, N.Y. 


 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
When you are tempted to sin, remember what price God had to pay to cover that sin. God's mercy is new every morning but we should fear God and the consequences the sin will bring into our life and the consequences that spill onto others, family & friends because of the choices we make. Vs10- love worketh no ill to his neighbor. 
We need to be light around us. If we are choosing to sin that light will not shine for Jesus. Vs12- put on the armour of light.
We can’t overcome temptations on our own. Vs 14- but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. How do we put on Christ? First by getting saved & baptized. As you read your Bible & pray then you will learn how Christ wants you to live a holy life that reflects Christ in you. Remember we have the power of God’s Word & the Holy Spirit to help us overcome temptation and we do not have to sin, we choose to sin.
 2 Corinthians 10:4-54 says (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
We are mighty through God & His Word.

The Return of Lester Holmes

It's here!! After many months of much hard work by many people, it's finally done! Thank you to everyone who acted, played, sang, filmed, edited, worked behind the scenes and so many more things! Thank you especially for those of you who had to redo scenes due to me forgetting to turn on the mic on the camera...thankfully it didn't turn out to be a silent film.  We all hope you enjoy the movie (sorry, short film, ha-ha)!
