Iniquities will Seperate

"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

Isaiah 59:1

Does it ever feel like God's just not answering? We hear everyone saying that God is all powerful and can hear and see everything, but then we pray and pray for things and there's no answer. But have you considered that you may have something between you and your God? Have you sinned against him?

If your brother came up and punched you, and then asked you to do him a favor 10 minutes later would you be very likely to do it?  Now what if he came back and apologized to you, and was sincerely sorry? Would you be more likely to help him out?

Now we can in no way compare God to how we act, but in this verse it says that our iniquities will hide God's face from us. Repent of your sin and then you will find that the Lord's hand is not short!
