The Storm will Show it

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

Matthew 7:24-27


    My cousin was texting a sermon he wrote to me yesterday, and in it was a very simple, yet very good statement. He said "the wise man built his house on the rock, and the storm showed it". The storm showed all the work and effort that he had put into building his house correctly. Are you building your life correctly? Are you taking the time and putting in the effort to build your life on the right foundation? Jesus is the only sure foundation that will never fail you. When a storm hits your life- an unexpected death, an injury, problems with your friends or family, or anything that is hard- what will it show? Will you come through the storm standing, holding firm to your foundation, or will you crumble in the wind and rain? The foolish man built his house on the sand and the storm showed that too. If you are just putting on a show, pretending to walk with God, you will fall in a storm. If you do not have a true, unfailing foundation you will not survive the storms. 

    We have no idea when a storm will hit our lives. We can't look at the radar on our phones to tell when there's going to be a car accident, or a fire, or a death. Only God knows what will happen and when it will happen. We must be firmly secured in our faith before the storm comes. Remember, storms will come, and the only way you will be able to stand against them is to be firmly secured to Jesus. With Him, you cannot fall.

The Return of Lester Holmes

It's here!! After many months of much hard work by many people, it's finally done! Thank you to everyone who acted, played, sang, filmed, edited, worked behind the scenes and so many more things! Thank you especially for those of you who had to redo scenes due to me forgetting to turn on the mic on the camera...thankfully it didn't turn out to be a silent film.  We all hope you enjoy the movie (sorry, short film, ha-ha)!
