'Twas the Week Before Christmas
Twas the week before Christmas at the grocery store,
Poor Megan was stuck on the chaotic sales floor.
The customers were grouchy, the coworkers were flying,
Megan was just jovial, or at least she was trying.
The night dragged on with the holiday greetings,
Hurried people and irritable meetings.
"Is this Christmas cheer?" Megan asked a friend
"I think" he replied, "that's how it'll end".
"But the week before, everything's so dizzy,
It brings out the worst when people are so busy."
"That shouldn't be true"
Megan scowled at the crowd as it grew.
"Let's change it" he suggested,
"If we're happy and work hard the madness can be bested"
My poetry writing brain is tired now😂
Don't let Christmas busyness make you grouchy! The best way to do this is to not focus on the stuff you have to get done. Focus on the real meaning of Christmas and it will keep things in the correct perspective. If your house is grumpy and testy around Christmas, change it! Be helpful, be jovial, and keep Jesus on your mind.
Love it!
