Great and Precious Promises

     I really have been having a terrible time thinking of a post for today. Nothing very significant happened last week and I haven't thought of anything to write. As I was thinking about how much I just wanted to go to bed and not have to think of a post, a verse popped into my head. 1 Peter 1:4, where it says, "Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises...". So I thought today we'd enjoy some promises from the One who's absolutely crazy about us. 

Philippians 4:19 says "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." God promises to supply all our needs. He will never let us go without something we need. 

1 John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". He promises to forgive us merely at our request. What kind of love is this that a perfect God will forgive any sin if we ask Him to? We cannot begin to understand the amount of love our Heavenly Father has for us.

Isaiah 41:10 says "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." A beautiful promise that we don't have to be afraid because He is with us and He will help us and strengthen us. 

Isaiah 26:3 says "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee". If we fix our minds on Christ He promises to give us peace. 

And quite possibly my favorite one...John 10:28 says "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand". If you're a child of God you never have to worry about losing your salvation or your eternal home in Heaven. You never have to fear death. You will always have God's protection. He will never let you go. 

As you go about your day, meditate on these promises. I hope they make your day sweeter.

The Return of Lester Holmes

It's here!! After many months of much hard work by many people, it's finally done! Thank you to everyone who acted, played, sang, filmed, edited, worked behind the scenes and so many more things! Thank you especially for those of you who had to redo scenes due to me forgetting to turn on the mic on the camera...thankfully it didn't turn out to be a silent film.  We all hope you enjoy the movie (sorry, short film, ha-ha)!
